I’ve been down to see Laura of the The Fun Station in Prudhoe. It’s tucked out of the way a bit, so like me you might have missed it. Coming from Crawcrook turn right at the roundabout towards the railway station, take an immediate left after the Adam and Eve pub. Drive to the far end – it’s on the right hand side. You’ll find ample parking space and a lot going on once you’re inside the spacious unit. Apart from an extensive soft play area you can take advantage of the following exciting events (term time only).
Monday. 1pm – 2pm Rhyme Time
Wednesday 9am – 11am Toddlers
Thursday 1pm – 2pm Messy Play
Friday 3pm – 6pm Disco Friday
For the adults there is a large cafe area offering a wide range of freshly cooked hot food, and cold selections – all of it at a reasonable price. I say for the adults, there is a children’s menu too of course, but I didn’t witness a single child sitting down to eat without being ordered to by a parent. They were too busy having fun. Had I known the Fun Station was here I would have brought my nieces and nephews along. One of them is visiting in August so a trip here is definitely on the agenda.
