The People’s Kitchen

The People’s Kitchen in Bath Lane , Newcastle, serves food to homeless, disadvantaged and vulnerable folk in the area three times a week. It also organises events and gives out good, second-hand (or new) clothes once a week .

They particularly need the following items at the moment (and at any time, in fact!)

Waterproof  (even if a bit shabby) shoes. Particularly large men’s

Men’s jogging bottoms and jeans (especially size 30/32)   length 34″ or more would be particularly appreciated.

Always needed are T shirts, bed sheets and pillow cases and ladies’ pyjamas, jumpers, fleeces and waterproof jackets. Back packs too! 

COLLECTION

Sue Hedworth, who lives locally, (07841349164) distributes clothes weekly and would be more than happy  to collect from you if you phone her – leave a message and your telephone number.

If you have anything else you think might be useful ( even a tent or two!) just ring and talk to her about it!
