Ryton Festival Third Session

I’m not a parent myself, but I have seven nieces and nephews all under the age of fourteen, and the one thing I thoroughly ‘get’ is that once you have children there is no such thing as a lie in. It was a 9.30am start for the third session of Ryton Festival in Emma Hall this morning, all young contestants, the youngest being six-year-old William Straughan from Ashington, who received a certificate of achievement with his own choice of piano solo.  Stunning performances from a wealth of emerging talent, here are some pictures.
