I was delighted when the head of St Agnes School in Crawcrook, Mr Laidler, allowed me to sit in on their atmospheric production of Lionel Bart’s Oliver! I’ve seen professional productions of the show twice, and like many people I know the score off by heart. I loved the St. Agnes version of it – great singers, fantastic acting; and mention must be given to the staff and pupils who created the set and designed the lighting. All the classic numbers were there; Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, It’s a Fine Life, As Long as he Needs Me, to name but a few. I hope that you enjoy the photographs *
